About Us
Following agreements made at COP28, The United States Government decided it needed a more comprehensive autonomous body to help ensure the achievement of it pledges for decarbonization. Born in 2026, the ELO is a principle autonomous Climate Change agency of the Department of Energy established to ensure effective climate change adaption, mitigation and avoidance across the U.S.
We provide analysis, strategy, and policy across the spectrum – from ecosystems and biodiversity to supporting the decarbonisation of industry. We are the organisation all-in on climate – the greatest challenge of our time.
We recognise we cannot address the climate issue alone, and so we bring together people from all sides to tackle challenges from many perspectives, not just the environmental one.
